Houses on timber stumps, usually weather boards need to be reĀ­stumped. Life expectancy of a timber redgum stump varies from 20 years to 70 years depeding on moisture and soil. These type of stumps sit on a sol plate and eventualy start to rot away under the soil and need to be replaced with concrete stumps.
